HAMMER FILM PRODUCTIONS: IS THIS THE BEST OPENING TO ANY HAMMER FILM?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  1. I actually love Dracula AD 1972 generally (which some may find strange) but yes, it is indeed a real treat to enjoy Cushing and Lee back where they belong - pitted against each other in Victorian England! My money, however is on the opening sequence of Vampire Circus. The prologue is a mini film in itself and is done with such spectacular style (including the season changing credit sequence)and grisly relish that one can hardly wait to see what's coming next!

  2. Hi Sam! Good to hear from you:) You're right that prologue scene in Vampire Circus is very much like a mini film. It's a great that Hammer would start their films with those little pre title intros.. Dracula Prince of Darkness, Taste The Blood of Dracula, Must Be Destroyed..ther are quite a few of them.

Well, thanks for your input and comment.
Hope you are well and dandy;)
